The new World of Sports Arena located in Herzogenaurach, Germany is designed by renowned German architectural office Behnisch Architekten. The area of 52,000 m2 houses 2000 employees in a modern and sustainable workspace organised to be flexible with open communication areas. The three-storey building is elevated 10m above the ground on 67 steel supports creating a canopy of shade and gives the building a distinctive effect of floating in the air.
GUTMANN Bausysteme GmbH provided the aluminium unitised curtain wall GUTMANN EF68/EF68+ and the aluminium window system GWD 080i. The aluminium systems further complement the sustainability criteria applicable to the project which has been submitted for LEED GOLD certification. GUTMANN’s aluminium unitised curtain wall has high degree of prefabrication and superior workmanship quality with low installation costs.
