A collaboration worth mentioning, GUTMANN Bausysteme and the tool manufacturer Zuani Deutschland have jointly developed a new wood-aluminium system, GUTMANN MIRA TWT for windows and doors. The new window system has a wood width of only 68 mm throughout. The face view width is 110 mm in double rebate. What’s unique about the MIRA TWT is that the fabricator can manufacture a complete window with the timber cross-section 68 mm x 68 mm. Frames, sashes, transoms or mullion – all components can be manufactured in 68 mm. All common opening types and window sizes are possible.
Materials
The wood provides the warm and natural charm for the interior with its high thermal insulation and ability to store heat thus saving energy and maintaining ideal climate. The design possibilities are limitless and the wood types are basically divided into hardwoods and softwoods.
The robust and sustainable aluminium material on the outside provides the protective cladding for the wood interior. The protective aluminium frame is ideal for its superior thermal insulation, low maintenance and durability. Over 1000 colour variants and effects are available for the aluminium surface to satisfy all styles and requirements.
Economic solution
The optimized profile geometry for CNC-machine technology and optional glass bonding for large elements are characteristics of the production of the new system. Instead of the previously used twist holder, a clip holder is now used, the sash of the system MIRA TWT only has to be clipped on, the rotation by 90° during assembly is omitted. The fabricator does not need any major investments for the production in the workshop, he can work with extensions of the tool inventory. The system is self-explanatory and requires no special training.
