Based on the GUTMANN LARA GF, Gutmann created the glass-bearing cross member LARA heavy load to bear even higher load profiles in a mullion-transom construction that can be used in modern structures with increasingly large and heavy glass panels. The complete structure withstands heavy weights and meets stringent demands on thermal insulation and safety. With its glass bearing cross member and the TWINLOC mullion-transom connector for the wood, GUTMANN offers a tried and tested solution for heavy glass, approved by the building authorities and combines both the functional and the design elements of the modern architectural world. Furthermore, the TWINLOC connector can be installed with minimal preparation and just a few additional screws in the base and mullion profiles.
GUTMANN LARA heavy load with its TWINLOC mullion-transom connector meets the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and is suitable for pane weights till 500/600kg and with glass thickness of 44mm – 64mm. The functional and design-oriented requirements for contemporary architecture are satisfied perfectly with both systems. Our wood-aluminium systems combine the advantages of both materials and the innovative modularity of the GUTMANN building systems offers solutions for individual requirements of architects.
The GUTMANN TWINLOC created for the connection of mullions and transoms in vertical curtain walls and purlins and rafters in wood roof structures with wood face widths of 50 mm to 80 mm. The TWINLOC meets European Technical Assessment (ETA) and offers easy installation through lateral mounting or insertion of the transom from behind for a fast connection. Various connector lengths are available for different transom thickness. The concealed installation on three sides allows for perfect appearance with precise installation using transom milling. Same construction for single and double connection as well as embossed ribs that prevent turning under eccentric glass load.
