GUTMANN combines the best of both worlds
Designed as the best of both worlds in one product, the GUTMANN wood-aluminium product range is a response to current architectural and social challenges.
Architecture lives from ideas
GUTMANN Bausysteme GmbH is an international supplier of building systems for windows, doors and façades. As part of one of the world's largest and most demanding industries, GUTMANN has the opportunity to have a positive and lasting impact on customers and society. Within this framework, the company goes one step further and aims to complement its product range with innovative features and technologies. GUTMANN wood-aluminium systems are the answer to current architectural and social requirements: These include the MIRA and MIRA contour window systems, the LARA GF mullion-transom glazing system and the wood-aluminium element façade. The combination of wood and aluminium convinces with the special properties of the respective material.
Wood as the building material of the future
Wood is a renewable raw material that impresses with many sustainability aspects: Compared to other building materials, wood has a significantly lower thermal conduction, which means that heat losses can be minimised. This ensures optimal insulation values, which have a positive effect on the energy balance of buildings. Wood products are also excellent CO₂ stores, because they bind the carbon that the original tree has removed from the atmosphere - about 1 tonne of CO₂ per cubic metre of wood. In addition, the natural feel gives interiors a harmonious sense of comfort.
Aluminium as part of the solution
The robust light metal aluminium provides ideal protection against the most difficult weather conditions for decades and, thanks to the surface treatment, offers an extremely wide variety of design variations and thus the possibility of meeting individual requirements in terms of aesthetic features. The material is endlessly recyclable and reusable and can be used again after the recycling process has been completed without any loss of quality.
Wood-aluminium systems from GUTMANN
Among others, the wood-aluminium product range includes the MIRA window system with its classic, offset appearance and a diverse range of profiles, which offers customised solutions for every requirement, for residential buildings as well as for commercial buildings. In contrast, MIRA contour is characterised by its clear and angular design. The LARA GF mullion-transom glazing system is predestined for large-scale, multi-storey and multi-partitioned glass surfaces - and can also be used in conservatory construction. A special highlight in the portfolio is the wood-aluminium element façade, which brings a new dimension to office and high-rise construction: While wood-aluminium windows are traditionally used in residential construction, aluminium dominates in office buildings and high-rise buildings. An integrated system with wood and aluminium has not existed for this type of building before.
GUTMANN wood-aluminium systems offer the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality. The products are designed for minimum energy consumption while meeting the ecological requirements of a reduced CO₂ footprint with both renewable and recycled materials. In order to guarantee a high quality of life in the long term not only for today's - but also for future generations with a resource-saving construction method.
